The two storey library is in the vicinity of the main building of the college.
The library has a proud collection of 17,111 titles and 42,774 volumes. All books in the library have been computerized with e-lib software. A good collection of reference books like Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Year-Books, Gazetteers are there on the shelves. The library contains the books donated by the dignitaries like Padmashree Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Late Sri M. S. Hegde (Retd. Judge), Late Prof. G. S. Avadhani, Prof. V. S. Bhat, few past students of our college and also parents. The library subscribes to 85 periodicals (including two international) and 13 dailies. Books have been classified according to colon system. Books are kept subject- wise in one sequence and CDs of some books and journals are available. Books are catalogued subject wise in separate registers for the convenient and easy reference.
The Library works on all days throughout the year except on Sundays and Public holidays. The working hour is from 9 am to 5.30 pm. without break. Normally books are issued for a period of two weeks. Students are allowed to change the book in the middle. Two books will be issued without any limits. Students are allowed to keep the books till the annual examinations. Apart from home lending, students can refer books, periodicals and news papers in the library. They can also refer question papers of previous years. We have separate reading space for Boys, Girls and the Staff. The average number of books consulted per day is 305.
A library committee is constituted which provides valuable guidance for the day today functioning of the library.
With the available dedicated Staff sincere efforts are being made to implement in spirit and action the Five Laws of Library Science of Late Dr. S. R. Ranganathan.
