AN APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE 

    We are a N.G.O (Non Government Organisation), which was constituted 47 years ago in a small coastal town of Honavar in Uttar Kannada District, Karnataka State. This N.G.O was constituted to provide education to the rural people. This being relatively poor area only few could afford higher education outside the taluka. This was more so with rural people and especially the women.

We started a first grade college at Honavar. Within a few years, our existence itself was a problem because of financial difficulties. Dr. Shri Veerendra Heggade of Shri Kshetra Dharmastala came to our rescue in a time of crisis and helped us monetarily. We are always grateful to him.         

We are running a P.U.C and a Degree college with a total strength of more than 2½ thousand. Subjects like Computer Science, Electronics and Industrial Chemistry have been introduced looking at the future of the students. NAAC has accredited our college with ‘A’ Grade.

Realising the very low standard of state syllabus and examinations we have started a school with a C.B.S.E syllabus. We have taken up the construction work with an estimated cost of Rs. 2 Crores.

The work of construction is in full swing. We have already spent an amount of 42 lakhs. The ground floor is complete and we propose to shift the school to the new premises. The 2nd slab will be in place within a month  time and we want to complete the whole building work within 3 months.

 This is an overambitious project for us. We believe that funds will not be a problem so long as you are sincere, honest, dedicated and work for the welfare of the society. We believe that well meaning and philanthropic persons who are interested to see the nation proper will give a helping hand and that they are not few.

Shri Veerendra Heggade has promised Rs. 15 Lakhs towards a library block. Our M.P. Shri Ananth Kumar Hegde has promised to give Rs.20 Lakhs from his M.P.LAD funds. Our MLA’s and MLC’s have promised Rs. 20 Lakhs. People of this area have come up with a contribution of another 20 Lakhs. This is not sufficient to complete the infrastructure with in a time frame. Hence we are approaching you to encourage us with a substantial assistance.
